Melissa Lora is GMA’s senior human resources and operations generalist. Her career has spanned biotechnology, retail, non-profit, and construction, including roles at Common Sensing, Stop & Shop, BOND Brothers, and Massachusetts Senior Action Council. She brings that varied experience, along with a background in psychology, to her work supporting GMA’s staff and leadership.

A first-generation college graduate, Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Arts and Sciences in Psychology from Merrimack College and an Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences from Roxbury Community College. She holds the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credentials and is pursuing an MBA with concentrations in Human Resources and Management at Fitchburg State University.

Melissa’s commitment to learning extends beyond her own education. She volunteers as an English language tutor through Tutoria and is passionate about mental health and holistic well-being. In her spare time, she enjoys a good book, exploring different cuisines, traveling to new destinations, and grooving to Afrobeat and Latin music.
